The Fostering Achievement Scheme has enjoyed another highly successful year, exceeding its targets on uptake levels and delivery and introducing many new initiatives as a means of helping to improve educational outcomes for children and young people in foster care

The above figures show that enquiries were received on behalf of 1171 children and young people within the first two quarters of the current financial year, this is 98% of the annual credit target

In May 2010 a survey was conducted using various means to discover exactly what carers thought of The Fostering Achievement Scheme 2009/2010. A total of 136 surveys were completed, and it demonstrated that the majority of foster carers appeared to be extrememly satisfied with the scheme and its progress since its launch in 2006.
